Post Completion – Developer
Our Client is a successful niche developer, building new homes across the South East of England.
After purchasing a land sight with the benefit of planning to erect 20 residential homes, along with public open space for £1,925,000 (of which £725,000 was allocated for Social Housing, and therefore exempt from SDLT) they contacted I4B, to see if they were able to reduce their SDLT liability.
As the team set to work, to assess the site and planning documentation, they identified a reclaim of £26,269! The client had initially paid £49,500, and the team were able to reduce this to £23,231, by applying the relevant reliefs and exemptions from within the legislation.
Subsequently, a relationship was built with the developer and we have in turn looked at a number of sites for them to identify further savings!
The team at Innovation 4 Business have now handled two refund claims for the Sigma Homes Group and both were successful. In each case the claims were handled professionally & swiftly and communication throughout the process was first class. If I am honest, I was initially a tad sceptical that they could achieve the level of refunds suggested and, in the timeframes, projected. However, I am delighted to say that Innovation 4 Business achieved exactly what they set out to do and I could not be happier with the service we received.
