Having happy staff leads to happy clients, and supporting your team throughout all aspects of life is just the right thing to do. After the turbulent roller coaster that was 2020, we believe this is more important than ever, so we are kicking off our wellbeing initiative in full swing this year!
Provide staff with a benefits package
We are proud to be partnered with Pirkx Portal! This platform allows all staff to make the most of numerous benefits and savings to extend their income and spending potential while enhancing their health and financial wellbeing.
The platform provides access to a wide range of benefits, from a 24-hour GP telephone service to discounted gym memberships and cashback across thousands of retailers and restaurants. The best part? It’s available in an app on your phone that can be used on the go!
Fitbit’s for all
Whilst many are aware of the benefits that physical activity has on the body, we tend to be less aware of how damaging and expensive reduced physical activity can be. After a chaotic 2020, with gyms closing, less travelling, less movement and other exercise restrictions, inactivity is an increasingly growing threat to everyone’s health.
To help boost team morale and, more importantly, team movement, we have provided all the staff with Fitbits. This enables us to run step competitions throughout the year. Whether team members need support to manage health conditions, want to ensure they prevent health conditions, want to stay healthy or just want to feel safer in these uncertain times, our weekly and monthly step challenges help to keep the team engaged, motivated and moving!
Social activities for team spirit
Team building activities and social activities help our teams to understand each other better, while improving communication and understanding of each other. Having informal social gatherings add huge value to both the companies and individual’s personal development. It allows a chance to hear what people really think, to open up and provide valued opinions on how the company is doing, what could be improved upon and what is going well.
In addition, it helps to speed up integration of new team members whilst instilling the values and culture of the office.
Team social activities have always been important to the I4B ethos, we hold monthly team events and to ensure team spirit is always high.
In early 2020 we began our first run club! These have been highly successful with about 80% of the team joining in while inspiring those that do not run to get moving. Our now weekly run club is open to the entire team and all members of the group. Running can significantly improve physical and mental health.
As a form of aerobic exercise, running can reduce stress, improve heart health, and even help alleviate symptoms of depression. For this reason, we are proud to be scheduling our Run Club during working hours so that all team members that would like to be involved can do so without it infringing on their personal commitments outside of work.
Life and Health Coach – Esta Jephcott
Esta is our life and health coach. Her Well, Well, Well coaching technique focuses on building a Well Body, a Well Mind and a Well You! Esta offers confidential one on one coaching to any staff member that would like to open up new possibilities within their life and wellness journey.
